Enspyre, along with our partners MUSA Trademark and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Taiwan, is thrilled to announce the finalists for Dragons’ Chamber 2024! This annual event, now in its ninth year, showcases the remarkable talent and innovation of Taiwan’s startup community—particularly entrepreneurs from abroad who have chosen Taiwan as their home and business hub.

A Tradition of Supporting Entrepreneurs

Dragons’ Chamber was created with the mission to provide immigrant entrepreneurs in Taiwan with a platform for visibility, pitch refinement, and access to valuable resources. Over the years, Enspyre and our co-organizers have been dedicated to building opportunities for these startups to thrive in Taiwan’s dynamic market and beyond.

Dragons’ Chamber 2024 Auditions

This year’s journey began with a large pool of applicants and we invited 14 teams for the first auditions. Each team had the opportunity to present their ideas to an esteemed panel of Dragons: Richard Brown, Jachim Gobien, Adam McMillan, Jenny Hsu, and co-organizers Jessie Chou and Elias Ek.

Each team had to give a 7-minute pitch and then the Dragons had 23 minutes to ask questions and make comments and suggestions. Each team was sent home with some homework, some aspects of their business plan and pitch that had to be improved.

After much deliberation, 8 teams were invited to the second round of auditions and after that, the final 5 finalists were chosen. These five teams are now preparing for their pitches on the Echo stage during Meet Taipei.

 

Meet the 2024 Finalists: Pioneers in Taiwan’s B2B Startup Ecosystem

This year’s selection stands out with all finalist teams being B2B startups, highlighting the growing prominence of B2B innovation in Taiwan’s startup scene. B2B startups are unique in offering scalable solutions that address complex industry challenges, from advanced technology integrations to enhancing operational efficiency and customer experiences, driving long-term value across various sectors.

These five finalists, each founded or co-founded by an immigrant entrepreneur, bring their bold visions and transformative ideas:

 

UnifiedAI Technological Solutions

UnifiedAI aims to drive trust and transparency in the digital world by integrating artificial intelligence and blockchain to tackle complex challenges such as identity theft and data security.

• Core Product: ONeID, a blockchain-based digital identity platform for secure, verifiable, decentralized identity management.
• Global Presence: Offices in Delaware, USA, with expansions in Tanzania, Africa, and a development center in Taiwan.
• Mission & Vision: UnifiedAI’s mission is to bring security and authenticity to digital and physical realms, fostering a “community of trust” with platforms ensuring user safety, transparency, and scalability.
• Founders: Simon Luke (Canada) and Kazumi Otani (Japan) chose Taiwan for its proximity to the Asia-Pacific region and skilled talent pool.

MOTIVE Realities Ltd

MOTIVE Realities redefines physical movement in digital spaces with two core technologies expanding possibilities in VR and fitness.

• Core Technologies: All-direction motion platform allowing natural movement in VR, creating immersive experiences for gaming, training, and simulations.
  Treadmill-based fitness app that transforms workouts into interactive, engaging adventures.
• Vision: To make movement in virtual spaces as natural as in the physical world, enhancing engagement and fitness.
• Founder: Rachel Hatch (New Zealand) established MOTIVE Realities in Taiwan, leveraging the island’s hardware expertise and secure environment for innovation.

Founded in 2015, xSeriCon offers safety consulting for high-risk industries like oil & gas and pharmaceuticals, focusing on proactive risk management to help clients mitigate risks.

• Key Services: Specialized risk analysis for process facilities, identifying design weaknesses in safety, environmental impact, and production loss.
  Development of a unique software app to streamline risk analysis, potentially reducing study time, costs, and enhancing safety outcomes.
• Mission: To lead in industrial safety consulting by helping clients design safer, more efficient facilities.
• Founder: Dr. Peter Clarke (UK) selected Taiwan for its central location in Southeast Asia and business-friendly environment.

• Founders: Paulina Tarnowska (Poland) and James Wu (Taiwan) saw Taiwan’s demand for sustainable products and community interest in eco-friendly solutions.
