Sunnyfounder offers green energy trading services to assist Taiwanese businesses in complying with the government’s ESG electricity regulations, enabling them to purchase usable green energy and green energy certificates.
They aspire to contribute to the creation of a cleaner energy future in line with the global environmental conservation trends. Currently, their customers span across Taiwan, including renowned companies such as Taiwan Mobile and the Fubon Group.
Marketing Challenges and Dilemmas
In the existing organizational structure of Sunnyfounder, business development is a collaborative effort between the marketing department and the sales department. The responsibilities of the sales department include new customer development, project planning, and maintaining existing customers.
According to Sunnyfounders’ Marketing Manager, each green energy project typically takes about 6 to 12 months to complete, and the sales team often needs to make on-site visits to provide professional advice. As a result, they frequently travel to meet with customers in the northern, central, and southern regions of Taiwan to plan their electricity needs.
With everything else on their table, the sales department found themselves short on time to close new customers so they had to lean on the marketing department for support.
